| Fancy yourself as a budding Ellen MacArthur, harnessing natures resources and cutting across the water under the power of the wind? Nothing much compares the feeling of the wind in your hair and the sun on your face whilst youre out on the open waters. Learn something new and experience the joy of sailing with a half day course under the guidance of a qualified instructor learning the skills of sailing a yacht or dinghy. A great introduction to the unique world of sailing. |
| What Happens On The Day |
| Upon arrival at your chosen location you will be greeted by a member of staff and issued with the appropriate safety clothing and buoyancy aids. You will receive a safety briefing and an outline of the course, before heading off to the waters edge and climbing aboard your appointed craft. Your instructor will give demonstrations and guide you through your hands-on sailing encounter. |

| You Need To Know |
| Participant guidelines: Minimum age: 12 (Under 18s need parent/guardian consent). Maximum weight: 18 stone Participants should be in reasonable health and agile enough to climb around the vessel Availability: This activity runs on selected dates throughout the year. Some centres only operate on certain days of the week, not always on weekends. We recommend you book at least four weeks in advance to ensure that dates are available . This is only a guideline and we advise you to book as early as possible to ensure that dates are available before the expiry date listed on your voucher. All bookings are subject to availability. How long should I allow for this experience? You should allow approximately 3 hours for the whole experience. Can I bring spectators? Spectators are usually welcome but can only view from the shore. Facilities for spectators vary between locations, but often there are cafes and nearby restaurants. Please ask when booking. Additional information: The experience content, equipment used and restrictions may vary according to location. What about insurance? The centres contracted with us hold public liability insurance. We also hold contingency liability cover. You will not be liable for accidental damage to equipment, except where damage has been caused as a result of recklessness or wilful negligence. A cancellation indemnity, subject to terms, is included with every voucher. How it works: All you have to do is pay for the experience you wish to purchase and well send a voucher and booking information to you or directly to the recipient, then you just need to check the info and book your experience. |
